The Oil Seal for Juki DDL sewing machines is a precision rubber seal that prevents machine oil from leaking out of the shaft bearing areas. Oil leaks cause fabric staining, which is unacceptable in garment production, and also lead to accelerated bearing wear.
Oil seals are rubber components that harden and crack over time due to heat from the machine. Once cracked, they allow oil to escape past the seal lip onto the needle plate and fabric. Regular replacement (typically every 2–3 years) prevents fabric staining and bearing damage.
If you notice oil stains appearing on the underside of fabric, check the oil seals first. This is the most common and least expensive cause of oil contamination.
